What exactly is Early Childhood Development?

Although no two children are exactly alike, there are certain stages they all go through. Early childhood development generally refers to the baby stage (birth-age 2) and the toddler/preschool stage (ages 3-5). In these stages, young ones are soaking up information at a rapid rate, and learning how to utilize it. They learn to form their first words, and learn to walk. They begin to form bonds that last a lifetime, particularly with parents, siblings, and grandparents.
