What exactly is Early Childhood Development?

Although no two children are exactly alike, there are certain stages they all go through. Early childhood development generally refers to the baby stage (birth-age 2) and the toddler/preschool stage (ages 3-5). In these stages, young ones are soaking up information at a rapid rate, and learning how to utilize it. They learn to form their first words, and learn to walk. They begin to form bonds that last a lifetime, particularly with parents, siblings, and grandparents.

Working in the c Field

njoying babies and children is a definite plus when considering working in the childhood development field, but it usually is not enough. As soon as a child is born, they begin learning. They also go through many stages involving their emotions. Children obviously are not going to understand these changes, but those who work with them must. Any position above child care provider will normally require the right training and education. It doesn’t hurt for child care providers to take some courses either. Of course, there are other things to consider if thinking about a career in childhood development.
